Natascia's commitment to spread the word about the European institutions and their work

I have been part of the Together.eu network since I joined the #ThisTimeIamVoting campaign.

Even being a foreigner, I feel very well integrated as part of the community.

Since I began to volunteer for unidos.eu, I have been able to take part in events that have enabled me to bring young people closer to European affairs.

Liam believes that goals can be achieved as a community.

For me, Europe means that goals which appear to be unattainable for individuals can be achieved as a community.

Europe in schools thanks to Carola and other friends of the together.eu community

I became a member of together.eu after the success of ThisTimeIamVoting.

Young people should be given a seat at the table

As a young European and a youth worker, I feel responsible for the future of Europe. I firmly believe that empowering young people with the attitudes, knowledge and skills to take part in decision-making will contribute to the sustainability of our democracies and to fostering a common sense of identity. That is why I joined together.eu, to encourage active citizenship and to be part of a community based on shared values and mutual commitment to furthering to European project.

Getting the European Union closer to the regions!

Being part of together.eu means being part of a community that has a purpose. Since I joined in 2020, I have had the opportunity to organise various meetings and to bring the European Union closer to the Basque Country (and vice versa!). The best thing about it is definitely meeting people from other European cities who share the same concerns as you.

Together.eu will be essential for the European Year of Youth!

I found out about together.eu via social media. The way they communicated about Europe really appealed to me and I signed up to be part of the together.eu community as soon as I found out about it.

Friendship, meetings and getting involved: this is Together.eu for Anton

I decided to participate in Together.eu because it shapes new citizens who grow up participating in institutional life as a community, rather than in a top-down manner – a community where the notion of representation is linked to participation and commitment and not confused with direct democracy.

The future is our power

My name is Ali Rizai, I am 28 years old. I came to Sweden from Afghanistan as an unaccompanied minor in 2011, and I felt from the very beginning that unaccompanied minors should be able to play an active role in – and contribute to – the society. I got involved in an association (Salsal) which is active in the areas of culture and literature, social inclusion, integration and sport. Later I became its chair and after the election of 2022, I was elected by the Social Democratic party as a member of the cultural committee in the Uppsala municipality.
